Cancellation and Refund Policy
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Welcome to Sea Horizon Nomads Corporation.
By booking any of our expeditions or services, you are entering into a contractual agreement between Sea Horizon Nomads Corporation (and its affiliates, directors, team members, agents, and partners) and yourself as the customer/participant (hereinafter referred to as “you,” “your,” or “adventurer(s)”). This agreement outlines your rights and responsibilities, as well as our policies. Please read these terms carefully.
To confirm your booking, you must agree to these Terms and Conditions during the online checkout process or, in the case of offline payments, by signing and returning the Terms and Conditions provided by Sea Horizon Nomads Corporation.
1. PAYMENTS
To reserve your spot on an expedition, only a partial payment is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid before the start of the expedition, as outlined in your booking confirmation.
2. BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Once you book, you will receive a confirmation email with all details, including your unique order number. Please retain this for your records. If you didn’t receive the email please contact us.
3. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
We understand that plans can change. Below are the terms regarding cancellations or modifications:
A. Cancellations by You:
More than 30 days before departure: Full refund.
Between 14 and 30 days before departure: You may either cancel with a refund minus a 2,000 PHP fee, or transfer the booking to another person (see name change policy below).
Less than 14 days before departure: No refund. However, you may change the name(s) on the reservation, provided you notify us in writing before the expedition.
B. Name Change (Passenger Transfer)
If you are unable to travel but wish to transfer your spot to another person, this is allowed at no additional cost, as long as:
You notify us before the departure date in writing.
The new passenger accepts these Terms and Conditions.
C. Cancellations by Sea Horizon Nomads Corporation:
In the rare case that we must cancel due to operational issues or unavoidable circumstances:
You will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
We are not responsible for any additional expenses incurred outside of your booking with us (e.g., flights, hotels, visas).
D. Cancellations or Postponements Due to Weather:
If departure is delayed or canceled due to adverse weather conditions or restrictions imposed by the coast guard, we prioritize safety above all. In these cases:
We will offer an alternative departure the following day.
If conditions still prevent departure, we will continue offering rescheduling options for up to 3 consecutive days following the original departure date, subject to availability and weather clearance.
If you choose not to accept any of the offered alternative dates, a non-refundable amount of 2,000 PHP will be retained to cover administrative and logistical costs, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
If the coast guard denies departure on all offered days (up to 3 total), we will retain 2,000 PHP, and refund the rest.
4. CHANGES TO ITINERARY OR SERVICE
Our expeditions are subject to the natural conditions of the region. Sea Horizon Nomads Corporation reserves the right to modify the itinerary, accommodation, vessel, or route at any time, before or during the expedition, without refund or compensation. This may be due to safety considerations, weather, logistical issues, or force majeure events such as:
Natural disasters
Government decisions (e.g., coast guard restrictions)
Mechanical or technical failures
Strikes, shortages, or civil disturbances
Other events beyond our control
No refunds or compensation will be provided in the case of itinerary changes.
5. REBOOKING
We understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly, and we aim to act in good faith.
Rebooking to a different date is free of charge, as long as you notify us before the trip and subject to availability.
We’ll always do our best to relocate you to a new date, even on short notice, depending on expedition capacity and weather conditions.
Reducing the number of people in your booking will be treated as a partial cancellation, and the applicable cancellation terms will apply (see section 3).
6. INSURANCE
We strongly recommend all adventurers obtain comprehensive travel insurance before joining the expedition. Your policy should include:
Medical and emergency coverage
Trip cancellation or interruption
Personal liability and loss of belongings
Repatriation
We do not accept liability for costs that could have been covered by insurance.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Sea Horizon Nomads Corporation shall not be held responsible for:
Loss, damage, or theft of property
Personal injuries, illnesses, or deaths
Rescue, medical, or evacuation expenses
Delays or losses caused by third-party providers (e.g., vans, boats, accommodations, dive centers, etc.)
Expenses arising from missed transport connections, visa issues, or cancelled flights
You acknowledge that Sea Horizon Nomads Corporation works with third-party partners and does not own or control all elements of your experience. Any issues with these third parties must be resolved directly with them.
Our maximum liability for any reason will not exceed the amount paid to Sea Horizon Nomads Corporation for the affected service.
Participation in any activity (such as snorkeling, cliff jumping, or use of recreational equipment) is entirely at your own risk.
8. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By completing your booking, you confirm that:
You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions
You accept them on behalf of yourself and all members of your party
You are fit and able to participate in the expedition activities
You will follow the safety instructions provided by our team at all times
